Exquisitely executed marriage couronne bearing the torch and bow motif of the Empire.
This stand would have held a bride's wax and flower courrone on a silk cushion, under a glass dome. It exudes authentic French style
This is a particularly fine example, well finished from the front and behind. The mirrrors have a lovely foxed patina as do the shiny gold leaves, scrolls and flowers. There is verdigris patination in places on the back. It stands upright unaided, due to the delicate nature of this stand, the wires could bend too and fro in transit and you can reshape then a little as you wish. The courrone band is not completely regular shaped. There are many signs of its age.
