Some rosaries just stand out, have a wonderful feel and this is one of those rosaries.
 
Its beads and cross are much larger than the usual rosary, and it is an antique Parisian piece from the 19th century.
 
The mother of pearl cross is edged with a silver frame. The mother of pearl is in very good condition and the silver has been left patinated for you to choose if you would like to polish it, The cross is large, 2 1/4" by 1 1/4"
 
The medal is a mother of pearl heart approximately 3/4" across and it shimmers beautifully in even low light.
 
The decade beads have delightful filigree silver dividers and are about 1/3" across. Some of the beads have some minor discolouration, again I have left this, but they could be cleaned if required.  They have a wonderful luminosity and have been polished by the repeated touch of hand
 
The rosary is weighty in the hand and has a drop of 24"
