Fabulous timeworn antique French soupière. It's tall with magnificent hand painted handles and hand sponged floral design. Hand painted edging around the top and the rather elegant footed plinth it sits on.
Altogether a fabulous piece as a centre piece, here I used a Quintessentially French flower frog to hold the tulips.
There are marks of use both inside and out as one would expect from ironstone in the region of 100 years old.
Please look at the pictures and ask for any more information you would like.
The tureen measures 23cm 9" across the opening, 31cm or 12.5" across the handles and 17cm, just under 7" tall.
