I love the 30s vibe in the design of this ice bucket and the squared handles.  The maker, Jean Couzon, founded in1947, is a premier marque in France Made from quality 18/10 stainless steel this is a well built retro rather than vintage champagne cooler with a good weight and solidity to grace your table. 
I chose this because it passed the both beautiful and useful criteria of design and of course it is quintessentially French.
