What a beautiful way to serve the family's daily bread, or to display other treasures.  
Quintessentially French carved platter, turned from a single piece of wood with a lovely grain. I haven't polished it but it would buff to a deep shine if required. 
There are a couple of tiny holes which I have treated in case it is an insect. 
Measures 24cm or just under 9.5"
