An old French professional chocolate Easter edd mold, perfect for spring decor, it has an attractive patina from use and a lovely crackled eggshell design which photographs well. I like its inside as it has an aged shine which reflects light.
 
It measures 5" by 5"  and is marked '12' the size of the actual egg in French centimetres. The edges of the mold are a little wonky from use and there are some small areas of rust.
 
These French molds are made tinned steel, in the old way, and are thus older, heavier more solid than the more modern aluminium molds.
