A rare and beautiful Sarraguemines water pitcher from the second half of the 1800s. It is a smaller size than usual, conventient for a small size 'toilette' table and making it more desirable.
This is the famous and beautiful  "Jardinère" design but in the very unusual colourway of black and white.
 
The bowl has three different complimentary floral designs around the inside edge as well as the outside and a beautiful stamp on the base, as does the pitcher.
 
The ironstone is in a great condition for it's 130 plus years of age and has only minor signs of age and use.
 
The pitcher is 7.25" tall to the top of the handle and the bowl 11.5" diameter.
