The sought after and collectible Digoin Sarreguemines Farm cockerels design, beautifully plumed birds chasing insects, watched by a blue bird.
 
The teapot is a rare part of the set, this pot, found in Paris has a broken lid and has been reduced in price accordingly. The lid was broken in two and has been glued, rather badly as it appears to have happened a long time ago and it seems the pot was continued to be used. It could be reglued for a less visible mend.
 
The pot is patinated from use, I like that this is a used piece and can imagine it being the centre of family and friends' cake and conversation!
 
The signs of it's past life includes crazing and light staining, I've taken close up high quality photos which can be enlarged, but please ask if you wuld like more information.
