A beautiful 19th century soup tureen , named after the flower eglantine or wild rose by Luneville, with the special maker's stamp reserved for the special collections. I can imagine this beautiful larger size tureen planted with spring bulbs.
Have you noticed the heart shaped design aroung the rim? Such a lovely detail.
It has been well used with light 'tea' staining on the bowl from the hot soup. There is a small old split on one handle and two chips underneath the lid, not apparent from the outside.
This beautiful tureen measures 12” across the handles and 9” tall
