Such a beautiful design, dating from the 1800s in gilded metal, ormolu, very popular in the Napoleon III era.

This is from a 'Globe de Mariage' a gilded stand placed under a dome, used to hold a bride's crown and often her dried bridal bouquet. This stand has a ring at the top to hold a posy of flowers.

There are two feathers or leaves looking like angel's wings either side of a mirror (which is foxed with age) and a flower beneath.

The stand has three delicate legs and is approximately  5" tall and 4" across. The gilding is bright and clear, a beautiful decorative piece full of memories.
