In the classic blue and white enamel, so iconic in France, this authentic and rare sign from the French railway company SNCF warns people not to touch the electric cables with risk of 'Danger de mort' (death!) A rare piece of French railway memorabilia.
 
It has the Japy manufacturer's name, gererally acknowledged as the best quality metal products company, they had these sought after corporate contracts as well as making domestic items.
 
It is in good condition for its age and life in the open air. There are some rusty patches on the front, corners and reverse and is made of thick convex ferrous metal. Please note "email Japy" is translated as Japy enamel from the French, this is indeed way before email!
