A silver plated bucket shaped vintage tea infuser, the tisaine would be put in the perforated holder and left to infuse. 
 
These are collected in France as there are a variety of diferent designs; they are certainly Quintessentially French and they display beautifully in vignettes. 
 
Infuser has a classic and attractive  deep bow design around the rim and a flower shaped parrern of perforations on the base.
 
It has not been cleaned to retain the original patina, but could be polished to a shine if required and to use for your favourite floral tea. The strainer measures 1.75" diameter by 1.25" deep.
