I love the design and gorgeous typography on this unusual French tin,  containing small rubber printer's letters and a tray to arrange them on.
 
The tin box is unusual as it is double hinged to open out flat, flipping the lid open and having the tray uppermost, with the space for the letters inside.
 
The set is branded La Mondial - the worldwide and is marked commercial printing (equipment). I am not sure how many printer's blocks were originally in the tin, but I am sure that they are not all still there!
 
The tin has some beautiful typography on the lid and an elegant gold pattern on the sides. It shows the passage of time through paint loss and a slight rusting.
 
It measures 6" (15 cm) in length, 4.5" (11 cm) in width and 1.75" (4.5 cm) high
