Sold separately, these mother of pearl handled silver plated spoons are beautiful antique tableware, both to serve delicacies at the table, or as delightful display treasures.
 
Originating from England, the first is a small and very unusual find, a draining spoon with a rounded bowl. It measures 6" long. There is a tiny nibble on the mother of pearl handle at the back which I have tried to capture in the picture. The mother of pearl, as a natural product, has some sepia tints at the back also. There is some wear to the silver plate from use and polishing. It is hallmarked on the back of the handle.
 
The second is a beautifully shaped jam spoon with elegant engraving and a lovely scalloped shaping at the base of the spoon. It too is hallmarked and has only minor signs of wear and use, it is 5.5" long.
