A particularly special and very grand Parisian boudoir jewel box. Dating back to the 1800s, this elegant box is a delight. It is a well crafted, heavy piece and has the stamp "Déposé" on the base, the sign of quality. It would have sat proudly on M'Lady's dressing table with her favourite pieces inside.
 
The design is elegant with the classic embelishments of an early 1800s piece of French furniture.
 
Still lined with its original silk,  and in a gorgeous faded shell pink. One side of the edging has come adrift over the years, it could easily be refixed if required. It has been left in as found condition.
 
It stands 4.5" tall, 4.5" across the front from leg to leg and 4" deep, leg to leg.
