Such beautiful old and well used woden darning eggs, for darning, usually, socks, these have had good use. They belonged to the Grandmother of the lady I bought them from who had 10 children!
 
As they were found together from the same seamstress,  I am selling them together along with some other sewing items from the same lady, I believe grandma used to take in stitching to make some pin money (please excuse the pun!)
 
The eggs are all worn, marked and dented, but they are wonderful because of this, they feel good when held in the hand, a connection with the past every day life of another and of course they display beautifully.
 
The longest is 3" . the mefiul about 2.5" and the almost round one about 2.25" diameter.
