The very elegant 'Regent' design, a set of four ironstone French plates by Boch Frères (BFK). Only one is stamped on the base, it was not unusual that items were missed on the 'stamping line' back in the day.
 
The Parisian or Château style design is a delightful ornate transferware pattern of the classic French mid tolate 1800s  bows and scrolls design, here with florals and  a butterfly. One with a lute hung by the bow and three with a harp, a wonderful baroque style flourish.
 
They date from the end of the 19th Century and the colour is the classic French ink blue.
 
They are in good antique condition, but with the characteristic light crazing and staining from age and use. They  measure 8" in diameter.
