Niege (snow) by Sarreguemines, one if the most beautiful and collectible pieces, due to the delightful birds and pine green transferware design. 
 
The stamp on the base dates it from around 1900 and thus it can be certified as an antique for customs purposes.
 
It has an old mend of a chip on the lid, indicated by the arrow, it is not easy to notice once the soupiere is on display as it has been well done - this tureen was a loved piece and too precious to discard. Tureens were often treasured wedding gifts.
 
It measures 11" across the handles and is 9" tall
