The painting is large and exuberant, reflecting Poulain's deep love of the French countryside and appreciation of its beauty. This work showcases his ability to convey atmosphere and emotion through his distinctive brushwork and harmonious colour palette.
It measures 21.5" by 18" . It has signs of its age, about 80 years which include some pin holes when held up to the light, age cracking and losses around the edges of the canvas.
