French kitchen essentials, these enamel canisters would have graced a French kitchen, found everywhere from a country cottage to a Parisian town house, they would have kept the essentials close at hand. It is less usual to find a full set of six.
 
These are a particularly lovely set in classic white enamel with French blue stripes with the lettering stencilled in black. They have the usual characterful chips, the most prominent on the pâtes canister, but are all watertight and clean on the inside. 
 
They date from the early 1900s  and stand between 5" and 8" tall
