A beautiful Louis XV revivial 19th century bronze coloured metal jardinière centrepiece with intricate open work showing the deep blue glass lining,  floral scrolls and elegant side handles.
 
The design is timeless and elegant; the central band of laurel leaves symbolises victory and honour, the central cartouche is often found on Parisian architecture to display a family coat of arms, although the original owner has not chosen to monogram this piece. The floral garlands symbolise abundance and celebration, making this ideal as a table centrepiece.
 
 It is so unusual to find a 19th century jardinière with the glass intact and the whole centrepiece has developed a gentle patina with worn plating fading into the warm metal below from over a century and a half of polishing and use.
