A very rare find, especially in red transferware, this glorious bird water pitcher in the design "Oiseaux", birds in French by JV&Cie Bordeaux, dating to the 19th century.

It has a rounded flowing shape which makes it fabulous for flowers. The birds on the side of the pitcher are joined by scattered birds around the lip and handle.

There is one mature hairline on the lip and some crackling inside.

The ewer measures 6” tall by 9.5” long
