A 19th century child's toy, a mini ironstone tureen just like Mama and Papa's full size version. It has the same elegant shape, handles and a beautiful lid, with transferware floral patterns.
 
It has miraculously survived being played with, but with a few scars! There are a couple of chips on the lid and one on the inside rim of the tureen. 
 
It stands just over 5" to the top of the lid and 6" across the handles.
