An absolutely beautiful timeworn sauce serving tureen in a gentle soft red pink transferware floral pattern. The lid has an attractive raised pattern in the ironstone which takes this piece to the next level! 
 
As is generally the case with sauce boats, the base has darker staining than the lid, caused by the heat of the sauce patinating the bowl. There is a small old chip on the base and on the rim. 
 
The sauce boat measures 9.5" long, 7.5" wide across the saucer and just under 6" high.
