The classic French frame dating from the late 1800s with the classic ormolu (gilded) top to the easel frame holding the thick original bevelled glass to protect your cherished memories.
 
This frame has the time faded photograph it was found with, taken at a photographer's studio in the champagne town of, although the frame was purchased in Paris, stamped on the reverse of the crest. 
 
The gilding shows its age, it could be polished up a little, but I have left it as found. There is a small nibble on the glass at the corner, pictured but not very apparent, and an even smaller nibble on the other side. 
 
The glass measures 4" by 2.5"
