An elegant soft red transferware French soup tureen,  dating from the late 19th century. Gently patinated from use in a Parisian home for in the region of 140 years, this has made it the perfect characterful piece .
 
The floral pattern is delightful with blooms and leaves cascading from the rim and the decorated handles add the perfect detailing.
 
It also makes a delightful vessel for bulbs or flowers.
 
The tureen measures 11" across the handles and 6" high.
