A specially signigicant French ironstone pitcher as it was made during the Great War in the year 1914 - 1915 and is believed to have been sold to support the soldiers. A piece of French history.

 

On the front are the Allied flags with the words "Pour le droit et la liberté",  for freedom and what is right. On the back is an image of artillery soldiers on the front line.

 

It is made by Digoin Sarreguemines, stamped on the base. It shows its age in some marks on the inside and an old chip and small hairline on the rim.

 

The pitcher measures 7" tall
