A beautiful French child's toy from the early 1900s. It depicts the classic story of Red Riding Hood or Chaperon Rouge, beloved by children world wide. The plates show rd Riding Hood and the wolf and the set is decorated with a beautiful red flower border.
 
Can you imagine the joy on a child's face on receiving this gift? It is quite amazing that it has survived so many years in the nursery and was passed down mother to daughter to granddaughter, from whome I purchased it.
 
It has been well used and played with, leaving classic ironstone 'tea' staining on most pieces. The set is for sale in three parts, shipping will be combined if you wish to purchase the whole set.
 
This selection is the dinner service's 'large' serving plate, sauce boat and a 'ravier' or side serving dish and two plates, these will be stained to varying degrees. They are of course all minatures!
 
The sauce boat measures 4.25" long and 2" tall, the ravier side dish is 2" long, this does have an old small chip on the top, and the dinner serving  platter is 6" long
