A beautiful French child's toy from the early 1900s. It depicts the classic story of Red Riding Hood or Chaperon Rouge, beloved by children world wide. The plates show rd Riding Hood and the wolf and the set is decorated with a beautiful red flower border.
 
Can you imagine the joy on a child's face on receiving this gift? It is quite amazing that it has survived so many years in the nursery and was passed down mother to daughter to granddaughter, from whome I purchased it.
 
It has been well used and played with, leaving classic ironstone 'tea' staining on most pieces. The set is for sale in three parts, shipping will be combined if you wish to purchase the whole set.
 
This part consists of a tureen and six plates. The tureen is 'tea' stained on the base where the child has played with it, the plates are stained to varying degrees. 
 
The plates measure 4.25" diameter and the tureen measures 5.25" by 3" tall
