From a Parisian table, a splendid set of 6 mother of pearl handled escargot or snail forks. These would have been an essential for any smart Parisian family who entertained regularly.

They date from the 1930s and the age and use has allowed them to develop a rich deep patina, age improving the lustre of the natural shell handles, remaining in good condition for forks of approching 100 years old. Please have a look at the photos to see the condition.

The section between the handles and prongs are two slight variations in size of the same shaped piece, suggesting these may have come from two larger sets, concievably made by the same company. There are some minor areas of plate loss around this middle section and one of the forks has a tiny notch missing on the prongs, shown with an arrow as it's so small

They are 6.25" long
