A splendid classic white ironstone tureen by Sarreguemines, the stamp on the base dates it from the last quarter of the 1800s and it has the most delightful artichoke handles on the bowl and lid.
 
The tureen is mainly white, enriched with small areas of patina from its age and life served in a French household. This is mainly centured around the handles and the rim.
 
It measures 12" across the handles and 10.5" tall, to the top of the lid
